A tornado occurred following the heavy rain and storm that was effective in Amasya. The roof of a house was blown off by the tornado that appeared in the fields, and electricity poles were overturned. There were no injuries or casualties.
Precipitation also caused flooding in the city center and the village of Ziyaret. Some buildings’ ground floors were flooded, and lands were damaged. Citizens attempting to save their vehicles caused widespread panic.
Firefighters worked on water evacuation in the damaged buildings. The municipality stated in a statement, “We convey our best wishes to our citizens who were affected by the floods and landslides in various parts of our city.”
