Heavy rain caused floods in Karachi, Pakistan. The city is battling with power outages in various parts and blocked roads. An 18-year-old young man died after touching one of more than 700 electrical cables that broke due to heavy rain.
The Pakistan Meteorological Service estimates that thunderstorms will continue.
Jewish Voice for Peace activists occupied the Trump Tower lobby in New York, demanding the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a student activist detained by U.S. immigration authorities for leading pro-Palestinian protests.
Around 150 protesters, wearing red shirts and carrying signs, chanted slogans like “Free Mahmoud, Free Palestine.” NYPD intervened, detaining 98 people for unauthorized entry and resisting arrest.
The group stated on social media that they would continue fighting for Palestinian rights, condemning what they called U.S.-funded oppression. Police reported no injuries or property damage during the protest.
