Heavy rains in Artvin led to floods and landslides in Borçka, affecting homes, businesses, and transportation. Numerous village roads, including the Hopa-Borçka highway, were closed due to landslides, causing damage to over 10 vehicles. The Kaleiçi Mosque in Küçükköy District faced flooding, with the congregation trapped inside. Borcka Municipality’s work machines were deployed for the rescue, evacuating the community from the mosque using the bucket part of the machines.
