Afghanistan Ministry of Natural Disaster Management Spokesperson announced that 31 people were killed, 74 injured, and 41 went missing in the last 72 hours in the floods that hit Jalrez, Chak, Narkh, Sayedabad and Jaghoto districts of Maidan Wardak province. A total of 250 cattle perished as well. The Kabul-Bamyan road was closed to traffic due to the flood and works are continuing to open it.

Egyptian media reports that ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel in Gaza, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, are set to resume next week. Israel is awaiting Hamas’s response to the ceasefire offer.
Israeli and US delegations, who were in Doha for negotiations, have returned home for consultations. The current agreement being discussed includes the exchange of hostages and prisoners, with plans for further talks on a permanent ceasefire and the release of additional hostages.
