Four people have died in flooding in Brazil’s Rio Grande do Sul state, with onlookers capturing the dramatic moment when a house was swept away. Severe storms caused widespread flooding and landslides in over 15 cities, including the state capital, Porto Alegre. One person died from an electric shock during house flooding, and a man and a couple lost their lives when their vehicle submerged. Fortunately, bystanders recorded a house being swept away, but there were no reported casualties in that incident. This follows a severe storm in June that claimed the lives of 16 people in the state.

Russian drone and missile attacks on Kyiv and surrounding areas overnight killed five people and injured at least 18, Ukrainian officials confirmed.
Interior Minister Ihor Klimenko said four victims died in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, where an apartment block entrance was destroyed. Six districts of the capital sustained damage. Kyiv regional governor Mikola Kalashnik reported additional casualties in nearby areas.
Kyiv military chief Timur Tkachenko condemned the attack, stating, “Russian style has not changed — they strike residential buildings and shelters.”
