Heavy rains led to floods in Saudi Arabia’s Mecca yesterday. Due to high flood waters, traffic on some streets was disrupted as vehicles were not able to move anymore. The Mecca Crisis and Disaster Management Center called on local people and tourists to be careful and not to go to flood areas.
Meanwhile, hundreds of Muslims continued their prayers in the Masjid al-Haram, where the Kaaba is located, despite the adverse weather conditions.
