Thirteen died due to record-breaking heavy rains and lightning strikes before the monsoon season in Lahore, the capital of Pakistan’s Punjab state. In addition, 15 were reported to be injured. In the city, where roads were flooded and buildings were severely damaged, there were power outages as a result of the failure of 150 electricity supply circuits.
