National Disaster Management Authority in Pakistan stated that the floods caused by monsoon rains have killed 903 and injured nearly 300 in Pakistan in the last two and a half months. The floods leaving thousands of people homeless killed 70 and damaged more than 82.000 houses in the last 24 hours. Pakistan government called for aid from international organizations.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered rescue teams to work faster. Authorities said the monsoon rains are not over yet.

Floods Engulf Russian Town as Frozen River Melts

Floods occurred in the town of Asha in the Chelyabinsk region of Russia as the Sim River, which was frozen, melted due to the above-seasonal temperatures.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that 275 people, including 68 children, were evacuated.

The Russian Ministry of Defense took action to prevent flooding in the Sim River and started to work to break the ice in the river.
