After Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin declared March 24 a day of mourning, many people laid flowers and toys in front of the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, where a terrorist attack left many people dead and injured. Flags on Russian public buildings were lowered to half-mast as well.
Meanwhile, numerous people in many other countries, such as Germany, Denmark, and Azerbaijan, also commemorated the victims by laying flowers in front of the Russian embassies in their countries.
