Firefighting helicopters, which were responsible for extinguishing the fire in Kazdağları in the Edremit district of Balıkesir, Turkey, worked tirelessly throughout the season. Firefighting helicopters leased by the General Directorate of Forestry are among the organization’s most useful vehicles in the fight against forest fires.
The Mi-8 helicopters successfully carried out an operation at points where ground crews could not reach in the Kazdağları forest fires, ensuring that the fire was brought under control in a timely manner.
