A forest fire broke out in the Hasanlar neighborhood of the Menemen district in Izmir, Türkiye. Upon notification from citizens, two planes, four helicopters, seven water pumps, two water supply vehicles, and one dozer were dispatched to the region. Authorities reported that the fire was under control and cooling efforts had begun.
As snow lingers on the high peaks of Artvin, the lower valleys have burst into life with the arrival of spring, creating stunning contrasts of white-capped mountains and green forests.
Drone footage captured scenes reminiscent of the Swiss Alps, drawing nature lovers, photographers, and content creators to the region. The unique blend of seasons is boosting nature tourism and gaining attention on social media.
“We may not go to Switzerland, but Artvin brings Switzerland to us,” said content creator Sinan Aydın. Photographer Betül Karaca added, “People travel the world for such views—we’re lucky to have them right here.”
