Forest fires broke out in more than 40 locations in North Macedonia. Twelve villages, where the flames reached, were evacuated as many houses were rendered unusable. One person in the village of Kokoşinje in the Kumanovo Municipality died.
Stoyançe Angelov, director of the Crisis Management Center of North Macedonia, who said that most of the houses in the village of Nemanyitsa were unused, said that authorities believe some of the fires were started deliberately.
