Downing Street workers applauded Boris Johnson after his final speech as the PM. Johnson left Downing Street to submit his leave in the kingdom estate in Scotland, Balmoral Castle.
“I will be supporting Liz Truss and the new government every step of the way.” says Johnson on his final speech.
Pakistan has repatriated over 13,500 Afghan nationals since April 1, following a government order targeting undocumented migrants and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders.
Thousands returned through the Torkham border in the northwest, departing in buses and trucks. The deadline for ACC holders to leave was extended to April 10 due to the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
Pakistan hosts around 3 million Afghans, including 1.3 million with refugee status. Tensions between the two countries have grown since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021.
