Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave his last speech as Prime Minister today, following the election of Liz Truss as the new Prime Minister. “In only a couple of hours, I will be in Balmoral to see Her Majesty the Queen and the torch will finally be passed to a new Conservative leader,” Johnson said in his speech.
Johnson promised to support successor Liz Truss every step of the way, saying, “This is a tough time for families up and down the country. But I tell my conservative colleagues, it’s time for us all to get behind Liz Truss and her team, and her programme, and deliver for the people of this country. “
