France fights the ongoing energy crisis, felt by many other countries in Europe, by switching the lights of the monuments, such as the Eiffel Tower, off at certain times after evening. Paris City Hall, the Saint-Jacques Tower and the museums in the city will not be lightened after 22:00 while the Eiffel Tower will be lit until 23:45. French PM Elisabeth Borne had announced that blackouts may occur to decrease the effects of the energy crisis.
