French farmers protesting the increasing costs, unfair competition and the regulations introduced by the European Union raided the International Agricultural Fair in Paris, which President Emmanuel Macron attended. The protest of the furious crowd, who called for immediate resignation of Macron, led to a brawl with police.
Meanwhile, Macron met with farmers’ union leaders and told reporters that he would host farmers’ union representatives and other stakeholders of the sector at the Elysee Palace within 3 weeks.
