Two men who went hunting in the Yenice neighborhood of Türkiye’s Tekirdağ province spotted a French traveler stranded in the mining site. The 61-year-old French woman, named Marie Laure, who had been stuck where she fell for about 3 days, was rescued after about half an hour of work by authorities after the hunters’ notice and taken to the city hospital.
“We were looking for a place to hunt. While walking on the land, we saw a hollow place. I was curious, so I told my friend to go and see if there was water there. I heard a cat sound, but it was a very strangely thin sound. Then we shouted towards it and noticed someone waving a plastic bottle. I hope she gets well and gets back to her family,” said hunter Hüseyin Destegül.
