Following Friday prayers, a funeral ceremony was held for Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh in the Imam Mohammad bin Abdulwahhab Mosque in Qatar’s Doha, where his body was brought after the funeral ceremony in Iran. Apart from Haniyeh’s family and some important figures from the Islamic community, thousands of people living in Qatar flocked to the mosque.
Haniyeh, who was assassinated in Iran’s Tehran, will be buried in the royal cemetery in the city of Lusael, north of Doha.
