Vladimir Putin attended the gala program held in honor of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with China, which was his first visit after being re-elected as President of Russia. Ahead of the program, which started with both Chinese and Russian songs, Putin touched upon the cultural closeness between the people of two countries and said they aim to maintain this spirit of fellowship.
Following the press conference he held with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Russian President also met with Chinese Premier Li Jiang and laid a wreath at the Chinese National Monument for the heroes of the Chinese Revolution afterwards.
