The Danish Armed Forces reported two leaks in the Nord Stream 1 pipeline northeast of Bornholm Island and one leak in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline south of Dueodde in a statement. Following the leaks, “forbidden zones” were established to ensure the safety of ships and air traffic. A frigate and pollution control ship were deployed in the region to serve in the forbidden zones.

Former US President Donald Trump announced that a minerals agreement with Ukraine is expected to be signed on April 24, aiming to boost economic ties and potentially support future peace efforts.
Speaking alongside Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at the White House, Trump criticized the Biden administration over the Ukraine war, claiming, “If I were president, this war would never have started.” He estimated weekly deaths in Ukraine at around 2,500 and called for an end to the conflict.
Meloni emphasized Western unity and support for Ukraine, saying, “The fight for Ukraine’s freedom is also the protection of Western values.” She confirmed Italy’s readiness to increase NATO defense spending and announced $10 billion in planned Italian investments in the US, focusing on LNG and nuclear energy.
Meloni invited Trump to Italy, a visit he accepted.
