The BBC, which aired the festival, later removed the footage from its platform.
Festival organizers condemned the remarks, calling them a breach of policy against hate speech and incitement. The band defended its actions, accusing the UK government of supporting “war crimes” and highlighting the Gaza crisis.
Another act, Irish group Kneecap, also shouted “Free Palestine” during the festival, marking a second anti-Israel slogan at the event.
