The ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement between Israel and Hamas went into effect at 12:15 GMT after a delay of approximately 3 hours.
It was reported that the 3-hour delay was due to Hamas not informing Israel of the names of the prisoners it would release today.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office announced that the prisoners will be released after 17:00 GMT.
