The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that only 339 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip, which has to receive at least 600 trucks of aid delivery every day for the first 6 weeks after the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19.
OCHA spokesperson Eri Kaneko stated that “the UN and humanitarian aid partners are working to deliver the large amount of aid to the approximately 2.1 million people in the Gaza Strip as quickly as possible.”
Between 630 and 915 aid delivery trucks entered the Gaza Strip in the first 5 days following the ceasefire coming into effect.
