Georgia Protests: 22 Detained

Protests in Tbilisi, Georgia, against the government’s decision to delay EU accession talks until 2028 entered their sixth day, leading to clashes and 22 detentions.

Demonstrators gathered outside the parliament, throwing fireworks and other objects, prompting police to use water cannons. The protests continued through the night, with participants setting up barricades and moving between key locations, including Republic Square and Shota Rustaveli Avenue.

Chanting slogans against the government, protesters dispersed by morning. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the arrests in a statement.
