Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced a parliamentary vote of confidence for the new cabinet on November 25, despite ongoing opposition protests rejecting the October 26 election results.
Kobakhidze emphasized the government’s focus on a four-year development plan, calling it an “ambitious vision” for Georgia’s progress. He criticized the opposition as “radical” and claimed their weakening is crucial for the state’s stability. He also commended law enforcement for maintaining order amid unrest.
In Tbilisi, opposition supporters continued their 24-hour protest, blocking streets with barricades and setting up tents. Demonstrators demanded a fair election process and provided food and blankets to participants.
