Georgia have signed import drugs from Turkey, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced. “We have decided to open up to the Turkish market. We will also import affordable and high quality drugs from Turkey to Georgia,” Garibashvili said. “There is a big difference between the drug prices in Turkey and ours. We have decided to open up to the Turkish market. I hope the decision will significantly reduce the cost of drugs in Georgia,” he added.
Prime Minister Garibashvili said in the government annual report on December 18 last year that he was worried about the expensive drugs in pharmacies and that reforms in this direction would be implemented.
