While vaccination campaigns continue at full speed around the world, the number of cases is increasing in many countries due to the Delta mutation. The total deaths worldwide have reached 4,255,741 and, 180,382,60 people recovered.

In his speech, Zomlot praised Palestinian resilience, highlighting students from Gaza who secured scholarships despite war conditions. He said the flag-raising marks “the beginning of the next chapter” toward justice, freedom, and sovereignty, and called for an end to “genocide, ethnic cleansing, and occupation.”
