Twenty-three illegal immigrants were found stranded off the coast of Turkey’s Ayvacık district on Monday. The boat carrying the immigrants, who were attempting to cross to the island of Lesbos in Greece, reportedly got stopped by the Greek Coast Guard as they approached the island. Subsequently, its engine was removed, and the boat was pushed backward. This action left the immigrants at the mercy of the Turkish territorial waters. Following necessary procedures, the illegal immigrants were taken to the Foreigners Repatriation Center in Ayvacık district
