Farmers in Greece intensified their protests by blockading the port of Volos with tractors, part of nationwide demonstrations since late November under the slogan “Agriculture is Dying.” Fishermen joined in from the sea.
Major highways and border crossings with Bulgaria and North Macedonia also remain blocked. Farmers demand faster subsidy payments, while the government says it is open to dialogue and urges an end to the blockade.
