An armed conflict broke out between two groups with automatic weapons near an elementary school in the Empalme city of Mexico’s Senora State. The incident left 1 dead and 2 injured. Some footage on social media showed students and other civilians around hitting the ground in panic. Witnesses stated that a person injured in the clash hid in the school and was then taken to the hospital by the medical teams.
The attackers fled the area before Mexican Army personnel and police teams arrived to the scene.
