A gunman attacked the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran at around 8.30 a.m. local time. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan announced that the security director was killed and 2 security guards were injured while preventing the attack. After the attacker was caught by the security forces, an investigation was launched into the incident.
