The half chicken and half rooster kept by the owner of a furniture factory in Bursa’s İnegöl district shocks those who see it. The right side of the one-year-old animal’s body, which was determined to be gynandromorph, has the characteristics of a chicken and the left side has the characteristics of a rooster.
“We struggled to determine its gender as it grew. Sometimes we called it a rooster, sometimes we called it a chicken. When it was fully grown, we realized that it was half rooster and half chicken. It is a very rare case in the world. It does not match with roosters or chickens. It doesn’t lay eggs” said the owner.
