In a devastating incident at Boise Airport in Idaho, a steel hangar under construction collapsed, claiming the lives of three individuals. The incident occurred at the 39,000-square-meter hangar, resulting in nine injuries, with five individuals reported in serious condition.
Emergency response teams, including eight fire trucks, three ladder trucks, and twelve ambulances, were swiftly deployed to the scene. The rescue operation faced challenges, with cranes required for the extraction of some injured individuals.
Airport authorities clarified that while the hangar is situated on airport land, it is not a Boise Airport project, ensuring no impact on airport operations. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the tragic collapse.
