Heavy rains caused flash floods in Silivri district of Istanbul. Three vehicles submerged and streets were filled with flood waters. Some underground workplaces were flooded. Teams arrived to the area for search and rescue operation.
No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident.
In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
