Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have issued a warning to the public to be cautious against flash floods following heavy rain and hail. The downpour brought life to a halt, with flooded roads in the city of Fujairah causing difficulty for vehicles. The National Meteorological Center (NCM) has advised people to avoid hazardous areas and be prepared for sudden flooding due to the adverse weather conditions. The NCM identified the areas of Dibba Al Hisn, Khor Fakkan, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman as the most affected by hail. Although March marks the end of winter, authorities anticipate continued adverse weather conditions in various parts of the country, with temperatures expected to rise in the second half of the month.
