Heavy rains last night in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon caused flooding. In the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon state, many streets were flooded due to overflow of the Topo Chico river. Some vehicles were stranded in the flood. A fire broke out as a result of a lightning strike at the Cuauhtemoc railway station in the city of Monterrey. While there was a 20-minute disruption in transportation, a burning railway car was evacuated. Authorities urged citizens to stay away from puddles. It is expected that raining and the decrease in air temperature in the region will continue in the coming days.
