Heavy Sandstorm Hits Kuwait

A heavy sandstorm hit Kuwait. Several vehicles crashed as the sky covered in sand. Maritime traffic was temporarily suspended at the ports of Shuwaikh, Shuaiba and Doha as construction equipment worked to clear the roads covered with sand. Police warned drivers to be careful and keep the headlights on. People with respiratory impairments were advised not to go outside until the storm is ended.
