Heimlich Maneuver saves teacher’s life

Ethics Teacher Canan Tüzer at 30 August Secondary School in Eskişehir, Turkey, was out of breath after raisins stuck in her throat. Tuğba Altıntaş, the assistant principal of the school, noticed the teacher, who collapsed on the ground, and asked for help. Learning about the incident, Turkish teacher Uğur Tiryaki helped Canan Tüzer breathe with the Heimlich Maneuver he performed, and other teachers rushed to help. Tüzer then regained consciousness and drank water. The incident was recorded with the school’s security camera.
