The newly inaugurated Sivas-Ankara High-Speed Train line, launched on April 26, 2023, has seen remarkable success, catering to 700,000 passengers, as per the data released by the Republic of Türkiye State Railways (TCDD). This milestone exceeds the ridership of other high-speed train routes, with equal numbers traveling in both directions—350,000 passengers from Sivas to Ankara and vice versa.

Hakan Bakar, President of the Sivas Tourism Association, expressed delight at these figures, highlighting the positive impact since the train’s launch in April. Bakar emphasized the significance of the recent social media announcement by TCDD, celebrating approximately 700,000 travelers between April and December. He noted the line’s popularity, affirming its status as one of Türkiye’s preferred high-speed train services.

Bakar concluded by stating, “This outstanding achievement brings immense joy to all of us in Sivas.”
