History of Cappadocia Reflected on Fairy Chimneys

A fascinating event was organized on Museum Day in Cappadocia, one of the important tourism centers in Türkiye’s Nevşehir province. Visuals depicting the formation of the fairy chimneys and the civilizations that lived in the region were projected on the fairy chimneys, which spread to an area of 12,000 square meters in the Zelve Ruins, using 3D mapping technology. The event ended with the Turkish flag and Atatürk’s picture being projected on the fairy chimneys, accompanied by the National Anthem.

“In this program, which we carried out under the auspices of Nevşehir Governorship, we watched the formation of Cappadocia by reflecting it on the fairy chimneys at the Zelve Open Air Museum, which attracts great interest from tourists coming to the Cappadocia region,” said Nevşehir Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Arda Hep.
