Hot air balloon tours are a popular tourist activity in Cappadocia, Türkiye, where visitors can enjoy stunning views of the region’s natural rock formations, valleys, and open-air museums. Despite weather conditions limiting flights to only 10 days in April 2022, 1337 hot air balloons took off and 30,282 people enjoyed the experience. In 2023, flights were extended to 18 days, and 45,379 tourists took to the skies on 2,159 flights. The chairman of the Board of Royal Balloon, Mehmet Dinler, remains optimistic about the future and hopes to set a new record by carrying around 700 thousand passengers. Tourists can enjoy hot air balloon flights in favorable weather conditions, which are more common during the summer season.
