A complaint was filed against a 5-star hotel in Antalya’s Manavgat district for encroaching on the Sorgun Pine Grove, cutting down trees, and clearing vegetation. Investigations revealed the hotel had occupied forested land, cut trees, planted exotic plants, and used the area for parking and storing renovation materials.

Locals link the site to the mythical creature Şahmeran, and stories say snake trainers or serpent-shaped walls gave Yılankale its name.
