Iran-backed Islamist group Houthis in Yemen continues to target ships in the Red Sea. UK-based intelligence company Ambrey said that the Liberian-flagged cargo ship, named Al Jasrah, caught fire yesterday as a result of an air attack by the Houthis. The operator of the ship, the German company Hapag Lloyd, announced that there was no injury or loss of life in the attack.
The group had announced that they would target all ships going to Israel regardless of their country, and on Monday they targeted the Norwegian-flagged tanker “STRında” in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait with a missile.
