An Afghan orphanage showed the 20-year war in Afghanistan how affect the young Afghan who grow up with high hopes of a brilliant future with good careers. Fifteen-year-old Ablud Razzaq who had a dream of being a doctor in the future said, “War took everything of mine. I had no close relatives to take care of me. So, I was taken here a few years ago. War took my father nine years ago. It destroyed my childhood memories. War means bloodshed, enmity, discord and unemployment.”

Afghan children in war zones who witnessed homes being destroyed and family members, neighbors, and acquaintances being injured or killed because of the war have not had normal life.

“No one wants war in his or her homeland. War should be over. I don’t want others to lose their fathers or any of their family members, like me.” said Ahmad, adding that if the situation allowed him to complete his studies, he aspired to become a teacher.

The director of the charity facility, Abdul Mubin Attazada said that there are 189 children between the ages of 4 and 18 who are supplied shelter, safety food and education now. According to Attazada, the orphanage is receiving domestic and foreign support at the moment.
