Huge waves that occurred on Roi-Namur Island in the US Marshall Islands hit a naval base on Saturday. A large part of the base was flooded, and tables and chairs were dragged away. One person was injured.
The meteorological service had warned that giant waves 3-5 meters high could form over the weekend.
