Huge waves hitting the shore in the Qiantang River in the city of Haining in China’s eastern Zhejiang province at noon yesterday injured at least two tourists. Eyewitnesses stated that the wave caused the injuries and damaged the 25-meter-long railing on the shore. The light show planned to be held on the shore was canceled after the incident.
Yanguan town in Haining city hosts tourists who come to watch the tide every year.
