hundreds gather in berlin to protest mandatory vaccination

Around 300 anti-vaccination activists gathered in front of Berlin’s historic Brandenburg Gate to protest against to the legalization of the requirement to vaccinate everyone. The demonstrators demanded the abolition of the 2G (vaccinated or recovered people) rule used in retail stores and restaurants, claiming that mandatory vaccination would violate the principle of fundamental rights and freedoms. The demonstrators marched silently to the Berlin Cathedral, carrying lights and candles with them. They claimed that the implementation of the 2G regulation excluded and marginalized a large segment of society.

According to the decision taken by the Federal Government together with the state prime ministers, 2G or 2G + rule is applied in the capital Berlin, as in most of Germany, except for the workplaces selling food and basic hygiene items.
