Category 2 Hurricane Francine hit the southern US state of Louisiana yesterday at 17:00 local time. Strong winds of 155 kilometers per hour caused damage to buildings and roads in the city, while heavy rain caused flooding in the streets. The hurricane weakened towards the night and became a tropical storm.
