According to authorities, Hurricane John has claimed 6 lives in Mexico, bringing the total number of fatalities to 22 since the storm’s first hit the country.
Eighteen of the deaths were reported from the state of Guerrero in the south; 3 were from nearby Oaxaca, and 1 was from Michoacan.
