The Sazlıdere Bridge, part of Türkiye’s controversial Canal Istanbul project, has reached a construction milestone with its towers rising to 100 meters in height.

The bridge, which will connect the districts of Başakşehir, Kayaşehir, and Bahçeşehir, is one of six planned for the canal and features a 1,618-meter total length including approach viaducts. It will have 8 traffic lanes, 136 suspension ropes, and towers designed with a diamond geometry expected to reach 196 meters.

Construction continues rapidly alongside nearby residential developments, with dozens of cranes and heavy machinery operating around the clock.
